While not every song is fantastic, there are several excellent songs here, and many other very good ones. This CD is no exception to that rule (I particularly do not care for her version of Unchained Melody), but is still worth the investment. If you are a fan of Sarah McLachlan, then you will definitely enjoy this CD. Of course, CDs of this type usually include some "experimental" additions from the artist, which often aren't that good, or, at least, aren't what you expect.
The song alone is worth buying the cd. This is the best version of "River" and is different than the one on Wintersong. "Blackbird" and "Time After Time" are also great.
This is by far my favorite of all the Sarah cd's and I own every last one of them. Sarah has such an amazing voice.
What a beautifully wound harmony they create together in a bitter, sad, dark kind of way. This cd really magnifies her talent by spreading that richness and blending it so flawlessly with such a wide spectrum of other great artist.
It's so rich and beautiful. My favorite by far on this album is "Pills" with the Perishers.
As a huge Sarah McLachlan fan I was a little personally insulted by one of the reviews that referred to some of these songs as "mediocre at best." What a crock. Yes that's right, even the singles.
She manages to showcase the other artists' talent without compromising her unique sound and style.
More "A" material than the album title suggests. McLachlan's talents and diversity. This "best of" collection flows. A great representation of Ms.
It has nothing to do with the person I purchased it from. Guess it's just another way for an artist to find a way to make money with little creative movement. I love Sarah but am disappointed overall with this CD. It came quickly and in good condition.
